ISC-Pertamina Urged to Advertise Transparency in Crude Oil Tender

Pertamina's Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) was required to deliver transparency to the public regarding the process of crude oil tender, for it will surely affect public confidence if not transparent.

"It is important for ISC-Pertamina to conduct transparency in oil procurement. Currently there are two things that are most crucial to be honestly delivered to the public, namely the ISC crude oil tender and cooperation agreement with Sonangol," said director of Energy Watch Indonesia, Ferdinand Hutahaean , Saturday (1/31).

Ferdinand said that ISC had ignored the recommendations of Oil and Gas Governance Reform Team (RTKM) which called for transparency in the oil and gas sector.

"Today, #ISC-Pertamina, led by Daniel Purba, has failed to carry out transparency regarding the volume of crude oil to be imported, tender participants, mechanisms and the assigned conditions," he said.

Ferdinand also said that if ISC-Pertamina was still closed related to the bidding process, then the allegation of RTKM was deliberately set up to put an end to the old oil mafia group and replace it with another oil mafia group could only be proven.

"Daniel Purba as VP of ISC-Pertamina should be transparent to the public rather than covering them up so that the public can keep track on ISC," he concluded.

Circulating info said that procurement of Azuri and Qua Iboe-Nigeria oils, each amounted to two million barrels, have been won without the lowest price offer scheme. That was what makes the process not transparent and not broadcasted to the public.
